How can I make sure my devices connect to the internet?

To ensure your devices are connected and ready to receive updates and transmit data, follow this checklist every time you are done with training:

Management Device

The Management Device transfers content, software and usage data to and from your headsets. It must always be powered on and connected to the internet.

  1. Make sure the Management Device is plugged into the power source. A green light on the Management Device indicates it is plugged in.

NOTE: Some Management Devices have a blue power light.

  2. If you connect to the internet through an Ethernet cable, make sure the cable is connected to your Management Device. If you connect through a USB LTE Modem, make sure it's connected to your Management Device. The modem shows a blinking green light while it is powering up and searching for a network, and solid green light when it's connected.

  3. Check all MicroUSB cables are plugged in at both ends.

USB Hub

  1. Check the power connection to the USB Hub. There should be a red light illuminated on the Hub. The power cable should be plugged into the USB Hub and to the power strip or outlet.

  2. Make sure the USB Hub is plugged into the Management Device.

  3. Check all MicroUSB cables are plugged in at both ends.

Headsets

  1. Make sure each Oculus Go headset is powered on. If you're unsure, hold each headset up to your eyes and the lenses should illuminate. Note that the headset must be close enough to your face to trigger the proximity sensor.

  2. If a headset's lenses do not illuminate, try rebooting the headset. Press and hold the power button on top of the headset for 20 seconds or until the device chimes.

  3. If a headset's lenses still do not illuminate, unplug the headset from its MicroUSB cable, wait 10 seconds, then plug the headset back in.
