Understanding the Proximity Sensor
The proximity sensor is located between the lenses inside Pico Neo 3, Pico G2/4KS, and Oculus Go headsets.
When the headset is in sleep mode and you put it on, this sensor automatically wakes the display, illuminating the lenses.
Testing the Sensor
To test the proximity sensor, when the headset is in sleep mode, place your finger over the sensor and ensure that the headset wakes up.
Keeping the Sensor Clear
When the headset is in sleep mode, ensure that nothing (including the head straps) is obscuring the proximity sensor, causing the headset to remain on. If the foam facial interface is blocking the sensor, the headset may not power on when you put it on. Remember, you can check if the device is on by looking at the lenses to see if they are illuminated.
