Screen recording on desktop
This feature gives you the ability to take screen recordings on your computer from directly within the WorkWise platform. You can use this tool to record any processes that happen on a computer including voice capture as well. With this feature, you can record a specific browser tab, a window, or your entire screen
To start a new screen capture, click the “New” button in the top left of the page, and you will see a new option that says “New screen recording”.
When visiting this page for the first time, your browser will prompt you to grant permissions to use the microphone. When prompted, select “Allow while visiting the site”.
You can create a screen recording with or without voice capture. To turn off voice capture, either click on the microphone icon on the top right of the page, or select “No microphone” from the dropdown. You can also use this dropdown to change or test your microphone.
To begin recording, click the red “Start recording” button in the bottom left of the page. You will notice that you can also set a timer for the recording. This timer will start after clicking the button and it will give you a few seconds to navigate to the desired screen, window, or tab before recording starts. You can set the timer to 5 or 10 seconds, or turn off the timer altogether.
Once you click “Start recording”, your browser will prompt you to select what you want to capture: either a specific browser tab, a specific window, or your entire screen. Once you select the desired option, click “Share”, and your recording will begin.
To stop recording, click the “Stop sharing” button from the window or tab you are sharing from. Once you navigate back to WorkWise, you will see your recording available to preview.
Click the play button to watch your recording. Then you can either take a new recording by clicking the “Restart” button, or if you are happy with your capture, click “Save & upload”. Once you click “Save & upload”, you will be taken to the upload flow where you can upload your screen recording.
